Arma Taggia was since many years blue flag of Europe . This means that its blue sea has really clean waters.

Arma is situated in one of most enchanting Liguria's places, almost in the Imperia province centre, with nice climate.

It has two separated towns: Arma and Taggia.

Arma, which has a natural tourist bent, is situated along the coast, from the ancient fortress (XVI century), at the west side of the town, to the Argentina river's mouth, which has its sourse in the highest Liguria's mountain, the Saccarello mount, 2200 metres high. The Argentina river gives its name to the whole valley.

Taggia lies about three kilometres inland and it's a typical medieval town. In the whole plain between the two centres, there are lots of flowers cultivations, typical in this area.

Olive oil is produced our valley and it's regarded, in this area, by the greatest experts absolutely, the best one, for its delicacy, and its acid level, among the lowest ones in the world, thanks to the peculiar kind of the olives, called "taggiasca", small, black and fragrant. They are ideal for special aperitifs, as they are tasty and juicy.
In order to know some more we suggest a visit to the Museum of the Olive tree of Imperia.

From our town you can reach, in less than one hour, the high Argentina valley's mountain villages: Verdeggia, on the Saccarello mountain slopes, Melosa Hill (1600 metres); other splendid villages are Triora, the witches village... and Molini di Triora, famous for its "Snail festival", or Badalucco with its "Stockfish festival". All this will make your holiday more complete and interesting.

In Arma you'll find the nicest beaches in the whole area, for they are made up by very fine and natural sand protected by many breakwaters.

Bagni Germana is not only a bathing-establishment, where you can sunbathe and go swimming in sure waters protected by the breakwaters. H's not only a peaceful oasis, calm and relaxing, small and quiet, far from the noise of the larger beaches.

Bagni Germana is also a botanical oasis, the only one in its kind, the only one in the whole area.

In fact, for a more pleasant stay, about a hundred kinds of plants and flowers are living in our beach.

A tall eucalyptus dominates everything from its height, and the Aleppo pine trees, the white agave and the yucca seem to be its vassals.

All along the little path bordering the kiosk, you find the banana trees and the Camerun palms, for a real tropical look.

Then, you can find a weeping willow, some oleanders, red and pink hibiscus, purple and red bouganvilleas, straelitsias, hydrangeas and cyclamens, dipladenias, pytosfhorus and marvels of Perù, bluebells and ivy, zinnias, basil and rosemary, sage, incense, peppermint, lavender, and many and many other kinds of flowers.
